Google as a destination 4. The “smartphone” revolution and the “always there” search 5. Disappearance of “10 blue links” 6. Agent 2.0: Predictive search and bots 7. The rise of machine learning 8. How search has transformed society 9. Search marketing revolution 10. Searches that require advanced technology will become commonplace. 1. The search revolution When you have a question, the first place you turn to is probably a search engine. It could be Google, it could be Siri, it could be Bing. Sometimes it's Yelp, and sometimes I use a combination of multiple search engines. This simple act, which we take for granted without thinking too much about it, is a revolution in how people seek information. Before the advent of consumer-focused search engines about 20 years ago, people obtained information the same way they had hundreds or even thousands of years ago.

In other words, it's a method of ``asking someone.'' When you need an answer to something, turn to someone like a teacher, an expert, a close friend, or a librarian. Of course, they must have used tools as well. Libraries, library catalogs, yellow pages, and professional databases such as LexisNexis. However, for many people, the India Phone Number most common method was to ask others to clear their doubts. Then, a little more than 20 years ago, a new partner appeared who seemed to have all the answers we needed: search engines. Search engines have revolutionized the way we gather information, just as smartphones have changed the way we communicate. But unlike smartphones, search engines have been a silent revolution.

The profound changes this tool made, while admirable, occurred so naturally that no one noticed. If you have time, please watch the 8 minute video below. This video of my TEDx talk a few years ago should give you a better understanding of the search revolution. 2. Google's revolution Apple didn't invent the smartphone. Apple has perfected the smartphone concept and created something everyone wants to copy. Similarly, Google didn't invent the search engine.
